Job summary

Vertus Partners is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its expanding data function in Greater London. You will design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, build Snowflake data models and Power BI dashboards to translate complex business requirements into meaningful insights.

The role emphasizes Azure Data Factory ETL/ELT workflows, data quality and governance, and close collaboration with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, BI Developer or similar.
• Hands-on Azure Data Factory experience, building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Commercial experience using Snowflake for cloud data solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills with complex queries and data transformations.
• Strong Power BI experience with DAX and data modelling.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and stakeholder engagement.
• Python scripting for data engineering or automation.
• Experience with Power Automate or Power Platform.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow or Workday.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and optimise data models and transformation processes within Snowflake.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports, translating business requirements into meaningful visualisations.
• Write efficient SQL queries to support reporting, analytics and data integration.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Develop and support automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform technologies where appropriate.
• Monitor and improve data quality, validation processes and data integrity across multiple data sources.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement long-term improvements.
• Contribute to best practices around data engineering, governance and documentation.
• Support ongoing enhancement of the organisation's cloud-based data platform.
