Job summary

Harnham - Data and Analytics Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking a Data Engineer to join a hybrid team delivering a modern Azure-based data platform. You will own end-to-end data engineering projects that support reporting, analytics, self-service data access, and AI initiatives.

You will design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines, develop scalable data models using Azure tech, and ensure high performance and data quality across pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Strong SQL development and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure data engineering technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for data deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines from requirements gathering through to production deployment.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models, transformations, and data products using Azure technologies.
• Optimise data pipelines for performance, quality, consistency and availability.
• Support development of enterprise ontology to improve cross-domain data understanding.
