Azure Cloud Data Architect, £80,000

Pearson Carter are currently working with a leading not-for-profit organisation embarking on a major cloud transformation programme. They are looking for an experienced and strategic Azure Cloud Data Architect to lead the migration of their data services to the cloud. This is a key position within a growing IT team, offering the opportunity to influence long-term architecture and modernisation initiatives.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with strong potential to be extended or made permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of a roadmap for cloud migration and platform modernisation
• Provide architectural guidance on security, performance, governance, and cost efficiency
• Re-platform legacy data warehouse and analytics solutions to Azure cloud
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure scalable, futureproof data services
• Support a wider transformation to SaaS and cloud-native tools

Experience:

• 5 years in a similar cloud data architecture role
• Strong experience with Azure tools including Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL
• Understanding of data governance, integration strategy, and modern data architecture
• Experience in not-for-profit or charity sector is desirable but not essential

Salary

They offer a highly competitive package:

Up to £80,000 6% Employer Pension 25 Days Annual Leave Fully Remote Working

Travel to London or Northampton for meetings is minimal (less than once every other month) with full expenses paid.

Location

This role isfully remotewith very occasional travel to their offices in London or Northampton. Travel costs are fully covered (rail, hotel, taxi or mileage at Gov rates).
