Azure Cloud Solutions Consultant

Salary: National ranging from £51,200 - £78,700 and London from £56,400 - £86,600

The team/department

End User Compute provides change and run for a broad range of application and infrastructure services.We work in small cross functional, self-organising and autonomous teams, passionate about delivering value and having fun.

What you will be doing (the role)

Analysing designs to determine engineering requirements and activities. Conducting technical assessments and PoCs. Authoring and reviewing high-quality technical documentation

Managing Conditional Access Policies: Implementing and maintaining conditional access policies to ensure security and compliance across the organisation

Creating Compliance Dashboards: Developing and maintaining PowerBI dashboards to monitor compliance, optimize infrastructure services, and ensure high availability

Utilising Kusto Query Language (KQL): Creating KQL queries to extract relevant data and generate visual workbooks for analysis and reporting

Building and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for Azure resources, mapping dependencies to ensure accurate asset management and resource tracking

Collaborating with Azure Stakeholders: Working closely with the Azure Product Architect, FinOps Analyst and Product Owners to develop and manage Azure budgets and set up cost alerts

Optimising the Azure Platform: Continuously monitoring, improving and optimising the Azure platform to enhance performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Leveraging automation to enhance efficiency, speed up processes, and reduce manual intervention

Collaborating with the Resiliency Team: Working with the Resiliency Team to develop, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans for Azure resources, ensuring data integrity and service continuity

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum

A team player, with subject matter expert in Azure platforms, services, and engineering

Expertise in designing, engineering, and maintaining cloud-based solutions in Azure

Experience enforcing governance policies and creating comprehensive documentation to ensure platform compliance across the organisation

Strong Azure cloud engineering experience with cloud-native services

Service proficiency in Azure IAM specifically Conditional Access Policies and SAML SSO, VMs, Storage, Networking, Azure Functions, , Defender for Cloud, Azure Firewall, Azure Virtual Wan and Vnet Peering. Understanding of automation techniques and configuration management tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, and Azure CLI

Proficient in Using Infrastructure as Code: Experience with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM for infrastructure automation

Understanding of Azure Policies and Azure Landing Zone Architecture

Variety of Azure certifications to demonstrate in-depth expertise to support hands on experience
