Job summary

Fred. Olsen leads a cloud transformation through its Platform & Cloud Tower, delivering secure, scalable Azure-based platforms and landing zones. You will drive automation, IaC, and DevOps to support hybrid and cloud-first delivery across FO businesses.

The role demands senior engineering leadership, cloud strategy definition, and collaboration with multiple towers to enable end-to-end service outcomes. Ipswich or Glasgow based, with a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and engineering Azure cloud platforms.
• Delivery of cloud transformation and migration programmes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Deep understanding of networking, identity, and security in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cost optimisation.
• Exposure to data platforms and analytics workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of Azure cloud platforms and landing zones.
• Define and enforce standards for resilience, scalability, security and performance.
• Drive platform automation, IaC adoption, and DevOps practices.
• Guide cloud migration and modernization initiatives across FO businesses.
• Collaborate with Applications, Infrastructure, and Security teams to enable hybrid/cloud-first models.
• Ensure cloud platforms are secure by design and aligned to governance.
