Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates Limited seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support building and migrating applications to Azure with a focus on secure deployment practices.

You will operate DevSecOps tools, develop infrastructure as code with Terraform or Bicep, and ensure compliance with Zero Trust and UK government security frameworks. Hybrid work in Milton Keynes expected.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance required.
• Proven background in Azure Cloud engineering.
• Experience deploying and migrating to Azure.
• IaC using Terraform or Bicep.
• Strong cloud security and Zero Trust knowledge.
• Familiarity with UK government security frameworks (NCSC, GDS).
• AZ-900 and/or AZ-104 are a plus.
• Public sector/defence experience is advantageous.

Salary: £64,000 - 104,000 per year

Requirements:

• Active SC Clearance
• Proven background in Azure Cloud engineering
• Proficiency in Azure Services, particularly in building and migrating applications and services to public cloud platforms
• Expertise in the operation and deployment of DevSecOps tools
• Development of infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and Zero Trust architectures
• Familiarity with NCSC, GDS, and UK government security frameworks (e.g., Secure by Design, Cloud Security Principles, Government Functional Standards)
• Desirable qualifications: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and/or Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
• Experience in secure environments, particularly within the public sector or defence is highly advantageous
