Job summary

Sword seeks an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join the Digital Platforms team in the UK. You will design, build, migrate and support Microsoft Azure environments for customers, providing practical guidance throughout the cloud journey.

You will work hands-on across the Azure lifecycle, from discovery to optimisation, leveraging IaC and best practices to deliver secure, scalable solutions while collaborating with Cloud Engineers, Consultants and Architects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting Azure infra solutions.
• Experience delivering Azure infra across projects or managed services.
• Experience planning migrations from on-premises or cloud to Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and support Azure infrastructure for customers.
• Contribute to discovery, design, implementation, migration and optimisation.
• Plan and deliver migrations using appropriate tools and approaches.
• Configure Azure compute, networking, storage, backup and app services.
• Implement monitoring, governance and security with Azure Monitor and Policy.
• Use IaC (Bicep/ARM templates) for repeatable deployments.
• Produce clear technical documentation and artefacts.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants and architects across the team.
