Location: London (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:

A leading fintech trading firm is looking for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based cloud solutions, ensuring the firm’s infrastructure is scalable, secure, and efficient.

You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with talented engineers and technologists to enhance and optimize cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working with the latest cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, monitor, and optimize a highly available and complex Azure Cloud infrastructure
  • Enhance operational efficiency through the automation of processes and workflows
  • Lead the migration process to Azure Cloud, planning and executing the transition from on-premise to cloud-based environments.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to ensure cost efficiency and scalability.
  • Keep up to date with Azure technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements and new solutions where appropriate.
  • Document cloud infrastructure architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 6+ Years in a cloud engineering role -specifically Azure
  • Solid understanding of Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) using Entra ID and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Experience with scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Bash and Python
  • Strong proficiency with IaC tools such as ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform, etc.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git version control
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
