Job Description: Cloud Architect (Azure)

Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud Architect with expertise in Azure to join a new project. The role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing cloud solutions to facilitate migration and operation on Azure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as an advisor to clients on end-to-end Azure migration journeys.
2. Assess on-premises infrastructure, perform application rationalization, and recommend strategies, roadmaps, and structured plans for migration.
3. Develop complex, enterprise-scale solutions for Azure migration.
4. Design and review technical architecture, ensuring adherence to Azure best practices.
5. Lead architectural discussions and participate in design workshops with clients.
6. Address critical issues during migration processes.
7. Design and develop innovative, optimized, and automated solutions for building, engineering, migrating, and operating on Azure.

Minimum Requirements

• 10-15 years of total professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior architect role.
• Experience in building accelerators, frameworks, and IPs for cloud environments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates), and configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• Expertise in Azure Web Apps, Logic Apps, API Gateway, Application Gateways, VM Scale Sets, PaaS databases, Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Notification Hubs for multi-tenant environments.
• Experience in assessment activities like discovery, dependency mapping, wave planning, and migration planning.
• Experience with mass migrations, migration processes, factory models, and toolsets.
• Knowledge of cloud operations including monitoring, governance, compliance, and security.
• Proficiency in cloud adoption frameworks.
• Azure certifications AZ-303 and AZ-304 are required.
• Strong knowledge of automation and optimization tools related to cloud.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and drive large-scale initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.

Additional Details

The client is based in Geneva, Switzerland. The role is remote within Europe, with occasional in-person meetings. Compensation will depend on experience. The contract duration is 6 to 12 months. Interested candidates should send their CV (Word format), daily rate, and availability.
