Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Writer 2 (MW2) to join our vibrant healthcare communications team in the UK, London (hybrid). This is a 12-month FTC position. You will be responsible for producing high-quality medical content across multiple accounts, aligned with client brand strategies, and guiding junior team members in understanding scientific data within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Data Processing: Independently interpret complex scientific data to create clear, accurate editorial content, ensuring strategic insights meet client expectations.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings to clarify project briefs and assess needs to enhance project success.
• Project Oversight: Manage small to medium projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are maintained, and scope creep is flagged proactively.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and promoting inclusivity through constructive feedback.

Candidate Must Have

• Relevant writing experience in medical communications or pharmaceutical roles
• Broad knowledge of therapy areas
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
• Strong scientific background, ideally with MSc or PhD in life sciences
• A passion for science and communication
• Organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, solutions-focused attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
