Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for two enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised individuals to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC), delivering work associated with the national Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing, Access and Growth (VPAG) programme, supporting innovative approaches to medicine assessment, patient access and uptake of new medicines.

AWTTC supports health technology assessment and medicines appraisal, medicines optimisation, prescribing analysis, medicines safety, education, and toxicology services (see here). The VPAG programme will align with clinical initiatives across NHS Wales, supporting existing structures and emerging priorities. The role involves working at a national level as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will provide technical, scientific, data and analytical support to the commercial medicines access team (CMAT) and the horizon scanning and medicines assessment workstreams. The role will involve writing and editing reports, maintenance of the AWTTC database and the commercial in confidence workspace, and maintaining and developing the AWTTC website. You will also be involved in ensuring records and processes are kept up to date.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team. We welcome applicants with a science, pharmacy or healthcare background.

This is a fixed term or secondment post for 24 months to meet the needs of the service.
