Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment are supporting a global leader in AI-powered customer experience and cloud technology to hire a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This fully remote UK role focuses on building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud platforms for critical services, with a strong emphasis on automation and reliability.

You will monitor AWS deployments, manage incidents 24/7, implement observability, and collaborate with software, platform, cloud and security engineers to improve resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Experience in production incident management and monitoring/observability tooling.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or Go to automate tasks and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and maintaining highly available production platforms running in AWS.
• Responding to and managing production incidents across a 24/7 service.
• Investigating complex technical issues and restoring services quickly and effectively.
• Developing automation to reduce manual operational tasks and improve platform resilience.
• Building and improving monitoring, alerting and observability across cloud environments.
• Working alongside Software, Platform, Cloud and Security Engineers to improve reliability and operational excellence.
• Contributing to post-incident reviews and driving continuous service improvements.
• Supporting containerised workloads using Kubernetes and Docker.
