A cloud consultancy firm in Greater London is seeking an AWS Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure and scalable AWS platforms. Ideal candidates will have strong AWS and DevOps experience, with skills in Terraform and Kubernetes. The role involves mentoring less experienced engineers and contributing to continuous improvement in cloud delivery practices. This position offers a competitive salary of £75,000 – £90,000, hybrid working options, and various employee benefits.

As an AWS Senior Platform Engineer, you will be a key contributor to Appvia’s platform engineering engagements, working hands‑on to design, build, and operate secure, scalable AWS platforms.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working closely with development teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of cloud platforms and delivery pipelines. You’ll operate within multi‑disciplinary teams, supporting both application and platform workloads while helping customers adopt modern DevOps and platform engineering practices.
You’ll be expected to take ownership of technical delivery within your area, contribute to solution design, and support less experienced engineers through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
You are a strong AWS engineer with a background in cloud‑native infrastructure and DevOps, comfortable working in client‑facing environments and contributing directly to delivery.
You will bring:
AWS Platform Engineering: Strong experience designing and operating AWS environments.
Certification in relevant cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) at an associate level is highly desirable, e.g.:
