Responsibilities
- Assist in managing, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based systems and infrastructure, primarily on AWS Cloud.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks, improving system efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Monitor platform and cloud performance proactively, addressing issues promptly to ensure system uptime and availability.
- Work with the team to ensure infrastructure and data management practices are secure and compliant.
- Participate in backup procedures and disaster recovery testing regularly.
- Stay updated with developments in cloud technologies and integrate relevant innovations into workflows.
- Document procedures and configurations for effective knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support and guidance to external stakeholders.
- Oversee responsibilities of the Junior Platform Engineer, including software installation, asset management, deployment via Intune, hardware support, CI/CD pipeline management, and infrastructure management using Terraform, Bash, or Python.
- Maintain a solid understanding of cloud platforms, holding an AWS Associate-level certification or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of backup strategies, snapshots, disaster recovery, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS), and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python, and experience managing AWS infrastructure and networking.
- Familiarity with git, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code tools, networking concepts, database management, encryption, security technologies, SIEM tools, and monitoring platforms.
