Job summary

CGI is looking for an AWS Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms for healthcare analytics and operational insight in the UK. You’ll work in a hybrid role, applying AWS expertise and automation to deliver secure, compliant cloud solutions across cross-functional teams.

You’ll collaborate with data engineers and DevOps to implement secure platforms, leverage Terraform and CI/CD, and stay updated on AWS capabilities to drive resilience and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS services (VPC, IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.)
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with Databricks and data platform design
• Knowledge of data security and compliance frameworks
• Experience in healthcare or NHS environments

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Architect and deploy secure AWS-based data platforms supporting analytics and operational intelligence
• Automate & Optimise: Use Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to streamline infrastructure delivery and enhance performance
• Collaborate & Support: Work with data engineers, DevOps specialists, and clients to deliver impactful solutions
• Secure & Govern: Implement best practices in cloud security, governance, and compliance for regulated environments
• Innovate & Evolve: Continuously assess new AWS capabilities to enhance platform scalability and reliability
