Job summary

Version 1 in the United Kingdom is seeking a cloud-focused software engineer to design, build and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, using serverless services and infrastructure-as-code tools.

You will work across front-end and back-end, contribute to microservices architectures, support DevOps pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito and CloudWatch.
• Experience with IaC tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with front-end/back-end solutions.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and microservices.
• Experience supporting DevOps processes including CI/CD pipelines and configuration management.
• Experience with test-driven development and related frameworks.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch).
• Develop infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in 1/more languages e.g. Python, Java, Golang, TypeScript, React
• Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling
• Experience with test‑driven development and relevant frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the stack.
