Job summary

True North is seeking an experienced, SC-cleared AWS DevOps Engineer for London or Manchester (hybrid) to build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and automated delivery pipelines.

The role focuses on implementing CI/CD with GitLab/GitHub, infrastructure as code with Terraform, and automating build, test and deployment while embedding DevSecOps and OWASP security principles.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance is essential.
• Strong hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of OWASP and DevSecOps practices.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience in Agile technical teams.

We’re supporting an organisation looking for an experienced, SC Cleared AWS DevOps Engineer to build and maintain secure, resilient cloud infrastructure and automated delivery pipelines.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving deployment processes and embedding security into cloud environments.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub


• Managing infrastructure as code using Terraform


• Automating build, test and deployment processes


• Applying DevSecOps practices and OWASP security principles


• Deploying and managing containerised workloads using Kubernetes, ECS or EKS


• Monitoring infrastructure performance, availability and security


• Troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

• Active Security Check (SC) clearance is essential


• Strong hands-on AWS cloud experience


• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines


• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure


• Understanding of OWASP and DevSecOps practices


• Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell


• Experience working in Agile technical teams

AWS certifications and experience in public sector or regulated environments would be a great advantage!
