Job summary

Credera, a global consulting firm, seeks a senior data and AI platform architect for our Technology Solutions function in London. You will shape data and AI capabilities for public sector and regulated clients, lead delivery teams, and drive architectural direction across complex programs.

You will mentor engineers, integrate ML/GenAI into scalable solutions, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes in a hybrid, client-facing role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, and AI platform architecture.
• Expertise in AWS cloud-native data and analytics platforms across the data value chain.
• Experience designing scalable platform components for batch and real-time/streaming processing across microservices- and API-driven architectures.
• Experience integrating ML, Generative AI, and foundation models into enterprise solutions, including agentic AI approaches.
• Experience implementing data management, security, and governance for public sector and regulated environments, applying responsible AI principles.

Job description

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, and AI platform architecture, design, and delivery
• Expertise in AWS cloud-native data and analytics platforms across the data value chain
• Experience designing scalable platform components for batch and real-time/streaming processing across microservices- and API-driven architectures
• Experience integrating machine learning, Generative AI, and foundation models into enterprise solutions, including agentic AI approaches
• Experience implementing data management, security, and governance for public sector and regulated environments, applying responsible AI principles
• Ability to lead multiple complex areas of work to time, cost, and quality with minimal direction, managing large teams and acting as a key escalation point
• Ability to partner with and influence senior stakeholders and navigate client delivery environments to achieve programme objectives
• Experience assessing risk and establishing multidisciplinary teams of subject matter experts to resolve issues
• Recognised subject matter expertise in driving innovation and market-leading practices across clients and industries
• Strong understanding of cloud-centric solution design, the full data lifecycle, and MLOps/AIOps
• Experience mentoring engineers and architects and developing junior team members and client counterparts
• Must hold active SC clearance; employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance
• Must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and not spent more than six consecutive months outside the UK during that period
• Desirable: experience in the public sector or regulated industries such as government or healthcare
• Desirable: experience with modern data warehouse and lakehouse ecosystems such as Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Synapse
• Desirable: familiarity with SQL and Python or Java
• Desirable: experience with MLOps and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for data, analytics, and AI services
• Desirable: strong understanding of CI/CD and modern IT and infrastructure delivery approaches
• Desirable: cloud platform architecture certification, preferably with a data or AI specialism
• Desirable: certification in modern data warehouse or AI ecosystems such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Desirable: experience applying AI or agentic techniques through GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent
