Job Description:

Join our team as an AWS Data Engineer Support within the Data Centre of Excellence. Based in Milton Keynes, UK, you'll be responsible for creating data insights that support banking operations. This role involves maintaining AWS-hosted solutions, designing and developing systems, ensuring stable deployment, and collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving and maintaining AWS solutions
• Designing, developing, and maintaining data systems
• Ensuring stable deployment and debugging
• Collaborating with teams to source and understand data
• Delivering outputs aligned with stakeholder expectations in an agile manner

Required skills and experience:

• Experience with data pipelines, lakes, warehouses, using AWS services like S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda
• Understanding of data lake, lake house, or data mesh architectures
• Problem-solving skills and change management knowledge
• Understanding of technical models and business operations
• Knowledge of governance, data security, and records management policies

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Effective communication skills
• Skills in SQL, Hadoop/EMR/Spark/Scala, data modeling, data transformation, DevOps, and metadata management
