Job summary

PA Consulting in Belfast is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build production data pipelines on AWS, working with Java, Python and SQL. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid model, spending time in the office and with clients as needed.

The role focuses on data movement, ETL design, data lakes and data warehouses, contributing to innovative digital solutions across sectors. PA supports learning and certifications and offers a flexible hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and deployment of production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big data architecture, using Java, Python, Scala, Spark, SQL.
• Experience performing tasks such as writing scripts, extracting data using APIs, writing SQL queries etc.
• Experience in processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources through ingestion and curation functions on AWS cloud using AWS native or custom programming.

Responsibilities

• Work with agile teams to solve client problems and deliver internal projects.
• Design and build data pipelines on the AWS cloud for ETL, data warehouse and data lake use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines to implement scalable data solutions.
• Contribute to a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the Digital & Data community.
