Job summary

Qualient Technology Solutions UK Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Data/Solution Architect to define strategic data architecture for Banking & Financial Services clients in the UK.

You will design modern cloud-based data platforms on AWS (Glue, S3, EMR, Lake Formation, IAM, Redshift), lead offshore engineering teams, and ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

Job description

The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define strategic data architecture, drive enterprise data transformation initiatives, and lead offshore engineering teams through solution design, implementation, testing, and production deployment.

• Define and lead enterprise-scale data architecture and solution design for Banking & Financial Services clients.
• Design and implement modern cloud-based data platforms on AWS, leveraging services such as Glue, S3, EMR, Lake Formation, IAM, and Redshift.
• Architect and deliver governed data products using Apache Iceberg, ensuring data quality, lineage, security, and compliance.
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using PySpark and related big data technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, data governance teams, and engineering leads to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical decision-making forums.
• Drive implementation and delivery through offshore development teams, ensuring adherence to architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Establish data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks across enterprise data environments.
• Support production deployment activities, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data/Solution Architect with deep expertise in Banking & Financial Services (BFSI) and modern cloud-based data platforms.
