About the Role

This is a great opportunity to join Westcon-Comstor's newly formed and rapidly growing AWS business unit.

We're building something unique in the cloud space. Westcon-Comstor has been a trusted name in technology distribution for nearly 40 years, and we're now making a significant push into the AWS ecosystem. We've invested heavily in our AWS capabilities across Europe through three major initiatives:

  1. The acquisition of Rebura, an AWS Premier Services Partner with 12 AWS Competencies and over 90 AWS Certifications – the CEO of Rebura will be leading this whole unit.
  2. The launch of a comprehensive AWS Marketplace program.
  3. Securing AWS Cloud distribution rights across Europe.

As an approved AWS Distributor, we enable our partners to resell AWS products and solutions, while providing comprehensive support to accelerate their AWS success. This includes helping partners develop their AWS go-to-market strategy, access AWS funding programs, and build technical expertise through enablement.

Our role is to help our partners to recognise and capitalise on the AWS opportunity, providing the expertise and support needed to accelerate their cloud business growth.

You'll be part of a business unit that combines the stability and resources of an established global company with the energy and innovation of a cloud-first organisation. Our recent acquisition of Rebura brings additional AWS expertise and creates exciting opportunities for collaboration and growth.

This role involves prospecting into new accounts & uncovering opportunities for AWS. You will be responsible for uncovering new opportunities, matching these opportunities to a relevant partner & working with both parties to ensure the successful delivery of the project. These projects could include migration, modernisation, cost optimization, data & AI/ML requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

Prospect, engage, and help close new AWS customers.

Develop long-term strategic relationships with new and existing clients.

Achieve and exceed sales targets.

Build strong relationships with our strategic partners, working collaboratively to achieve customer goals while meeting mutual objectives in driving and accelerating AWS revenue.

Educate new and existing prospects on the benefits of cloud computing, AWS solutions, and partners expertise in delivering innovative and tailored cloud strategies.

Tailor cloud strategies to meet the dynamic and evolving needs of different organisations, focusing on scalability, agility, and positioning them for long-term growth.

Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales and client engagement strategies.

Stay informed about industry trends, AWS services, and competitor offerings to effectively position AWS solutions.

Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales techniques through ongoing training and self-learning.

Provide feedback and insights from client engagements to assist in refining marketing campaigns, messaging, and value propositions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position Westcon-Comstor & their partners to become the trusted adviser to our partners for AWS. Success will be based on revenue and margin goals as well as business/growth KPIs.

Align and build strong relationships with the in-country AWS Demand Generation team.

Understand the AWS Co-Sell ecosystem & funding programmes.

Drive co-sell programs with AWS.

Build strong connections with local partner account managers and Business Development Managers (BDMs) within Westcon & Comstor.

Take responsibility for achieving the revenue and profit targets for AWS.

Produce and share weekly revenue forecasts with the management team.
