Join a leading bowel cancer charity as an awareness talk volunteer, where your voice can make a difference. You'll deliver engaging talks about bowel cancer symptoms and screening to local organizations, helping to educate and empower communities. With a flexible target of 12 talks per year, you’ll use provided materials to connect with diverse audiences, sharing vital information and your personal experiences. This role is perfect for those passionate about making an impact and supporting a vital cause in the community. Together, we can work towards a future where fewer lives are lost to bowel cancer.
We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease, and campaign for early diagnosis and access to the best treatment and care.
We currently have around 95 staff based in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re in a privileged position to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious strategy, On a mission. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We’re building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

Successful candidates may be subject to either a satisfactory basic, standard, or enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), depending on the role.
As an awareness talk volunteer, you'll deliver awareness talks about bowel cancer symptoms, screening, and our services to local organisations and community groups. We provide a standardised PowerPoint presentation that can be presented either virtually (optional) or in person in your local community.
