Salary: c£34,000 per annum, based upon experience and location

Location: London/Hybrid

Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time, fixed term contract, 12-months

About the Role

We are looking for a pro-active and pragmatic Awards Coordinator to join our busy Awards Team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will work on the delivery of the RIBA Awards programme from the point of entry through to the announcement of our winners, working alongside Entrants, Juries, Media Partners, Building Owners and Clients. The Awards programme includes UK Regional and National Awards and International Awards, Fellowships, the Royal Gold Medal, House of the Year as well as the RIBA Stirling Prize.

You will provide effective and efficient administrative and operational support for the smooth running of the judging process, which involves dealing on a day-to-day basis with some of the country’s leading architects and other senior professionals. You will also coordinate the knowledge sharing and communications with other relevant departments internally in RIBA, including Press, Marketing and Digital teams.

What are we looking for?

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to plan and prioritise workload in order to help deliver the awards programme on time and on budget.
  • We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate experience of managing stakeholders and building strong relationships with people at all levels.
  • You will be a proactive self-starter who can use your initiative to make decisions and keep projects moving forward.
  • You will have a good knowledge of basic IT software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office), as well as effective verbal and written communication skills to assist the RIBA to fulfil its remit to promote architecture.
  • This role offers the opportunity to help RIBA’s work celebrating the best architects and architecture of today and inspiring architects of the future.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours including some evenings and occasional weekends.
