Job description

Search & Rescue Captain (AW) at MPA Falkland Islands

Goose invites applications for the position of Search & Rescue Captain (AW) at MPA Falkland Islands.

Primary duties include:
  1. Maintaining familiarity with relevant United Kingdom air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
  2. Adhering to provisions of the Company Operations Manual necessary to fulfill the function.
  3. Observation, maintenance, and compliance with Company SOPs.
  4. Planning and briefing the crew before each SAR flight.
  5. Performing SAR operational flights and training flights safely and efficiently.
  6. Monitoring pilot handling, aircraft limitations, performance, fuel checks, navigation, terrain clearance, and overall flight safety.
  7. Leading by example in developing and maintaining high standards of professionalism, discipline, and morale.
The successful candidate must:
  • Possess a valid CAA ATPL(H) and Instrument Rating (H).
  • Have a minimum of [insert hours] total flight time.
  • Have [insert hours] on multi-engine helicopters.
  • Have experience with helicopters in the UK SAR role or equivalent SAR roles.
  • Have NVIS experience.
  • Hold an AW Type Rating.
