Job Title: Avionics Technician

Location: Holyhead, Anglesey

Compensation: £31,753.74 + Benefits

Role Type: Full time / Permanent

The role

As an Avionics Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for performing all tasks related to the maintenance and rectification of Hawk aircraft components and associated calibration equipment, ensuring compliance with technical standards and operational requirements.

Day-to-day, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform all maintenance activities within the scope of the assigned role and grade, ensuring compliance with authorisation criteria and any limitations set by the authorising authority.
  • Adhere to the constraints and responsibilities outlined in the SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person) framework for the designated grade.
  • Undertake first signature responsibilities for assigned tasks within the trade boundary, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
  • Maintain the safety and security of all equipment under personal control, verifying the availability of required tools and promptly reporting any deficiencies.
  • Execute additional duties as directed by the Electrical Supervisor, supporting operational efficiency and team objectives.

This role is full time, working 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at Valley, Anglesey.

Essential experience of the Avionics Technician:

  • Comprehensive training will be provided upon appointment to the role, including the Hawk Avionics/Electrical Systems course to ensure full technical proficiency.

Qualifications for the Avionics Technician:

  • Formal training in an electrical discipline, equivalent to City & Guilds 2675 Level 3, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
