Aviation Supervisor (Wildcat)
Yeovil, BA 8HT
Full time Permanent
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, hours per week

Serco supports the Fleet Air Arm, including the Wildcat Maritime Force, based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton. The role involves aircraft maintenance and ground support for Wildcat aircraft, requiring understanding of AESAS regulatory governance in an operational airworthiness environment.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant professional qualifications and experience supporting Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Yeovilton, managing team members, and developing Air Engineering Technicians, Fitters, and Apprentices.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Ensure employees are authorized for contracted tasks according to regulations.
  • Carry out tasks in compliance with policies, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Complete contracted tasks timely.
  • Report business risks to the Serco Line Manager.
  • Address customer complaints and quality issues appropriately.
  • Ensure team compliance with health, safety, environmental, and equality policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and train team members as qualified.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Service Certificate of Competency or relevant supervisory training.
  • Supervisory experience and knowledge of Wildcat Aircraft Engineering, systems, and procedures.
  • Understanding of aviation safety, airworthiness, and legislative requirements.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
