Job summary

Mane is seeking an Avionic Supervisor to support Chinook helicopter maintenance at RAF Odiham on a long-term contract. You will supervise avionic work, oversee inspection and testing of electrical/avionic systems, and ensure compliance with QR640 and Boeing Part 145 standards.

Role involves hands-on supervision, fault diagnosis, and documentation control, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance within a military/Part 145 environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising avionic maintenance on Chinook helicopters.
• Must have Chinook Q Course.
• Must hold or be able to hold 2nd Signature on Chinook aircraft.
• Knowledge of MMO and AMO requirements.
• Experience in military or Part 145 maintenance environments.
• Strong fault-finding and aircraft systems knowledge.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Avionic Supervisor to support the maintenance of Chinook helicopters at RAF Odiham. This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity to join a highly skilled aerospace maintenance team, supervising avionic maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with both Military (QR640) and Boeing Part 145 maintenance standards.

The Role

As an Avionic Supervisor, you will provide technical supervision and hands‑on support during Primary and Primary Star maintenance activities on Chinook helicopters. You will oversee inspection, fault diagnosis, component replacement and operational testing of aircraft systems while ensuring all maintenance is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and carry out avionic maintenance on Chinook helicopters.
• Inspect, remove, replace and functionally test aircraft electrical and avionic systems.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with QR640 Military Aviation Regulations and Boeing Part 145 requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
• Ensure maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company and military procedures.
• Support fault diagnosis and rectification of complex aircraft system defects.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in Chinook avionic maintenance.
• Chinook Q Course (essential).
• Held, or able to hold, 2nd Signature responsibilities on Chinook aircraft.
• Strong working knowledge of Military Maintenance Organisation (MMO) and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) requirements.
• Experience supervising aircraft maintenance activities within a military or Part 145 environment.
• Excellent fault‑finding and aircraft systems knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and work effectively within a team.

Security Clearance

• BPSS clearance required to commence the assignment.
• Security Clearance (SC) is required and will be processed following commencement.

• £41.00 per hour.
• Additional £3.00 per hour retention bonus after six months.
• Initial 12-month contract with strong potential for extension.
