Leonardo UK seeks an Avionics Instructor to develop and deliver high‑quality training on aircraft avionics. You will function as a SME, ensure technical accuracy, and align training with customer needs and engineering data.
Responsibilities include creating clear training materials, classroom and practical delivery in the UK with occasional overseas travel, and collaboration with SL&SS teams to maintain safety and regulatory compliance. A passion for mentoring others is essential.
We may now operate as one integrated team, but our success depends on dedicated Avionics Specialists and Mechanical Specialists. This role sits firmly within the Avionics discipline and plays a vital part in delivering high‑quality technical training to customers and colleagues.
If you have strong avionics knowledge, professional credibility, and a passion for developing others, this is an opportunity to influence how advanced helicopter systems are understood and operated across the global fleet.
For the awareness of internal candidates, this is a JFF level 5 position.
As an Avionics Instructor, you will shape the next generation of technicians and operators. You will deliver engaging training, act as a Subject Matter Expert for allocated systems, and ensure all training aligns with customer requirements, engineering data, and operational necessity.
This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
