Leonardo is recruiting an Internal Auditor to collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and contribute to the annual risk-based audit plan. You will assess internal controls, identify improvement areas, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The role offers exposure to UK operations within the Helicopters Internal Audit UK team, with potential cross-geography involvement.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor are a plus.
• Experience in external or internal audit fields.
• Understanding of audit fundamentals and IIA standards.
• Knowledge of core business processes (logistics, procurement, accounting, legal, compliance).
• Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, SQL).
• Familiarity with UK regulatory standards.

Job Description:

Your Impact

As an Internal Auditor you will collaborate with key stakeholders and various business departments across the organisation to support the development and execution of the annual risk-based audit plan.

This role will contribute to internal audit activities, supporting the assessment of internal controls, identification of improvement areas, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
The Internal Auditor will be part of the Helicopters Internal Audit UK team, gaining exposure to UK operations while also having the opportunity to support audit activities in other geographies depending on the Annual Audit Plan. The role is designed for professionals at an early stage of their career who are willing to develop strong analytical, technical, and stakeholder management capabilities within a complex industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits using Group regulations and in adherence with the IIA Professional Standards.
• Contribute to audit activities including planning, fieldwork, findings identification, recommendations proposal, area of risks identification, report writing and work papers management, granting the correct interaction with the auditees.
• Support periodical follow up activities on the agreed actions plans.
• Support the “preventive audit activities” analysing and evaluating the Internal Control System of the Company providing suggestions for its improvement.
• Participate in risk assessment activities supporting the definition of the Audit Plan.
• Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support the development of internal audit methodologies, including the use of data analytics and emerging technologies.

What you’ll being

• Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration or in Technical/Engineering area.
• Professional certifications (or willingness to pursue them) such as Certified Internal Auditor are considered a plus.
• Experience in External or Internal audit fields.
• Understanding of audit fundamentals.
• Proficiency in internal audit methodology and IIA standards.
• Understanding of the main core business processes (e.g. logistics, procurement, accounting, legal, compliance, program management), with willingness to deepen knowledge.
• Experience in using data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, ACL, SQL or similar).
• Knowledge of UK regulatory standards.
