Job description

Europe’s leading Aviation Training provider is seeking to hire individuals interested in teaching the engineers of Europe’s premier maintenance organisations and the technical workforce of tomorrow.

The opportunity involves joining a longstanding, dynamic, and forward-thinking business that seeks individuals to match its growth. The role encompasses various activities within an aviation maintenance training environment, providing a stimulating and learner-focused setting.

The position may specialise in mechanical, avionic, composite specialties, and more, with opportunities to teach in the workshop, classroom, and hangar environments. Training is delivered to Apprentices undergoing initial basic training and to experienced industry professionals seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Locations include our main base at Cotswold Airport and client sites as required.

Main base and field-based roles are available.

Technical Instructor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Theoretical and practical delivery of EASA and UK CAA, Part 66 training courses, from fundamental subjects to a wide range of aircraft-related modules.
  • Instruction of specialised aviation technical skills and other industry-related courses.
  • Examiner and Invigilator duties as required.
  • Assisting in maintenance and updating of approved training resources.
Terms and conditions:
  • Full-time permanent position
  • Salary £47,000 - £53,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience. The higher end applies to those holding all EASA or UK CAA, Cat B Part 66 modules, or an appropriate technical/academic degree. Further uplifts available for field-based positions and dual qualifications as a Technical Instructor and Apprenticeship Assessor.
  • 25 days paid annual leave plus public holidays, company pension, and cycle-to-work scheme.
Qualifications and experience:
  • Technical instructing or teaching qualification. Candidates without this qualification may apply and will be assessed for potential with training provided.
  • An appropriate qualification in aviation maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Ability to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.
