Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an Aviation Security Officer for a 4 on - 4 off permanent night role at the Broughton site. Pay rate is £14.88 per hour, with an average 42-hour week. Responsibilities include access control, vehicle checks, and patrolling to safeguard the airport environment.

Will require UK driving licence, ability to obtain SC clearance, and willingness to work nights and weekends. Face-to-face interviews will include a colour deficiency test.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK; 5-year checkable history and pass a high level of security clearance.
• Hold a current clean UK Driving Licence.
• Be able to implement Airport Byelaws and to deal with offenders.
• Willing to undergo a colour deficiency test at interview.
• Willing to undergo any relevant training, work weekends and 12-hour shifts - Nights only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out access control duties and ensure only authorised personnel and vehicles enter the Security Restricted Area.
• Manage all entry and exit posts by checking ID cards and any required documentation.
• Control Airside vehicular access, including the prevention of unauthorised vehicles.
• Undertake patrols, escort and ensure safety of all persons, vehicle and high value cargoes to specific locations within the airport.
• Use radio/telephone and liaise with and summon assistance from Police, Immigration and other emergency services as necessary.
• Report aviation security incidents and submitting clear reports.
• Encourage a high standard of Customer Care, advise and assist stakeholders on general enquiries and promote a positive and professional image of Mitie.

• Essential Skills
