Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks an Aerodrome Safety & Compliance Specialist to lead safety assurance across aviation infrastructure programmes. You will interface with stakeholders, regulators and project teams to embed safety in delivery.

Responsibilities include Safety Case preparation, airfield change management, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and SMS, while promoting a proactive safety culture and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation and aerodrome environments.
• Knowledge of CAA regulations and aviation safety standards.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead safety assurance, safety case management and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate airfield safety requirements across projects and programmes.
• Manage operational safety reviews, audits, and stakeholder input.
• Oversee change management and ensure SMS/regulatory alignment.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.
