Role Overview

The core purpose of this role is to deliver a safe, efficient, and resilient Baggage System—one of the three major flows within the Airport. You will be accountable for ensuring high levels of safety, reliability, and availability of this critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Baggage Engineering team to deliver maintenance plans.
  • Ensure optimal performance and improvements of the Baggage asset base to enhance system availability.
  • Promote a strong EH&S culture to reduce incidents and ensure safe working environments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including GAL teams, airlines, and handling agents.
  • Manage costs and contracts to adhere to operational budgets.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in engineering preferred; HND with significant experience accepted.
  • Proven leadership in promoting health and safety culture.
  • Experience managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Ability to meet and exceed performance metrics like OBP and CSS.
  • Experience leading failure investigations related to baggage systems.
