Job summary

Designer Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical building services at Heathrow Airport, Terminal 5. This site-based role requires strong leadership of site teams, coordination with engineering, commercial and client stakeholders, and a track record of delivering complex projects in live environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical project management experience.
• Background with M&E contracting or major subcontractors.
• Airport/terminal or live environment delivery experience.
• Strong coordination between site management, engineering and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical works at Heathrow Airport, Terminal 5.
• Manage supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee HVAC, pipework, public health, drainage and related systems.
• Drive programme delivery and achieve key milestones.
• Manage cost control, variations, reporting and commercial performance.
• Coordinate with procurement, RFIs, submittals and subcontractors.
• Review drawings and design information for buildability.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls, fire and civil packages.
• Chair project meetings and monitor resources for delivery.
• Ensure quality, safety and handover requirements are met.
• Support testing, commissioning, system validation and handover.
