Job summary

Arup in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design and delivery of aviation and MRO facility projects. You will coordinate from feasibility to handover, interfacing with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, a degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering, and proven aviation sector experience. You will mentor juniors, support business development, and contribute to net-zero goals while applying

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering is required.
Chartered Engineer status via a professional institution such as IMechE or CIBSE.
Experience in Aviation sector; MRO facility design preferred.
Experience winning and delivering a range of projects.
Ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and provide technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and coordination for aviation and MRO facility projects.
Manage projects across all stages: feasibility, concept, detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover.
Interface with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide and review technical documentation, specifications and drawings.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Support business development through technical input and client engagement.
