Job summary

MANTECH in Mildenhall, UK seeks an Aviation Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to join the vehicle sustainment team. You will support logistics for multiple vehicle families on ALECS, performing inspections, repairs and overhauls of aviation ground support systems.

The role requires 4+ years of mechanical experience or 8+ years with trade certification, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel to mission locations across US, Europe and the Pacific.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical experience with a related field.
• 8+ years with a trade school certification or 10+ years of mechanical experience as alternative.
• Experience with ground support equipment and aircraft tugs.
• Willingness to travel to mission locations in US, Europe and Pacific region.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid driver's license.
• Passport valid for at least one year beyond start date.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of engines, hydraulics, fuel pumps and lines for aviation ground support equipment.
• Replace worn parts, adjust valves, and repair power and ignition systems.
• Provide maintenance support including troubleshooting and repair to component level.
• Maintain records and documentation for data processing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
