Job Description:

Our client is a leading aircraft leasing company managing a growing portfolio of aircraft leased to numerous commercial airlines operating across multiple jurisdictions.

They are seeking a talented legal counsel to join their dynamic team. In this broad role, you will provide comprehensive legal support as a pivotal part of their legal team, across a range of matters related to aircraft leasing and management, ensuring compliance with legal, governance, and regulatory obligations.

About the Role:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including aircraft lease agreements, financing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, novation, and other related documentation.
• Ensure all contractual documentation aligns with the organisation’s commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Plan transaction strategy, roadmap, and milestones; take ownership of timely transaction progression.
• Advise on issues including contract interpretation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Who You Are:

• A legal professional with 1+ years’ experience in aircraft leasing/financing or a related field, preferably gained in a leading international law firm or in-house with a lessor.
• Experience managing complex transactions and providing strategic legal advice in the aviation sector, including cross-border transactions and a strong understanding of international legal principles related to aircraft leasing and financing.
• Strong organisational and management skills, with a proven ability to manage complex issues and mitigate legal risks.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and influencing skills.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive “get things done” attitude.
