Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for fabrication in the aviation sector. The role is based in Bishop's Stortford with a strong pay package and clear progression opportunities.

You will perform First Off and Final inspections on fabricated sheet metal and welded parts, ensuring compliance with customer specs and AS9102 standards. A background in manufacturing quality control is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous fine-limit technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 desirable

Responsibilities

• First-off inspection of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts
• Stage and Final Inspection of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts
• Ensuring all work carried out is within customer and industry specifications
• Producing inspection reports & First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements
• Identify and report non-conforming products
• Supporting MRB (RCCA) activities and maintaining records (Q-Pulse)
• Measuring of components with various hand tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.)
• Ensuring compliance with inspection procedures & keeping relevant records
