  • Salary: £13.20ph plus £8.00 per day X-Ray Allowance

  • Days of Work: Monday to Friday
  • Hours of Work: 22:00 to 06:30

Job Description

As our Aviation Cargo Warehouse Operative you will ensure regulatory compliance is maintained in accordance with the Appropriate Authority which is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the national civil aviation security program.

Key duties will include:

  • Assessing and screening packages to prevent and mitigate possible threats to personnel, aircraft, facilities, and customers’ packages.
  • Helping keep our personnel, packages, vehicles, aircraft, and facilities safe from unlawful acts against DPD and aircraft by applying and maintaining security controls.
  • Using various screening technologies, processes, and procedures to screen packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will also be expected to:

  • Leverage knowledge of all screening processes and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in and verify daily equipment inspections and maintain a safe environment to ensure operational compliance and efficiency.
  • Comprehend and implement regulatory change tools and materials to complete tasks.
  • Operate according to training and collaborate with co-workers to ensure smooth operation.
  • Perform effective screening using equipment and procedures, to prevent prohibited items from entering the air network.
  • Work within taut timelines ensuring all critical deadlines are met.
  • Work as part of a team to safeguard the air cargo network.
  • Deliver the screening process to ensure regulation and process compliance.
  • Escalate quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately by their supervisor.
  • Monitor the general work area's adherence to processes and regulations.

Further Information

If you are successful in this role you will be required to pass additional security checks which will be discussed at the interview stage.

Job specific training will be given to the successful candidate and you will have a thorough induction to the International operation as well as a comprehensive induction to DPD and Aviation Induction.
