Actemium Automation Hampshire, part of VINCI Energies, seeks an AVEVA System Platform Specialist to join our Hampshire automation team. In this permanent, full-time role, you will deliver SCADA and automation solutions across the UK water sector alongside project managers, software engineers and customers.

Qualifications

• We have proven experience delivering AVEVA System Platform, SCADA, DCS or industrial automation solutions within regulated industrial environments.
• We have extensive hands-on experience with AVEVA System Platform, ArchestrA and InTouch- OMI.
• We have a strong understanding of industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, process control systems and industrial communications.
• We have demonstrable experience leading testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and support activities for complex automation systems.
• We can interpret and develop functional specifications, control philosophies, P&IDs, electrical drawings and system architectures.
• We have strong analytical, problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.
• We are recognised as a technical authority within our field, with the ability to influence technical decisions and drive best practice.
• We have an HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Control Systems, Automation or a related discipline.
• Desirable: UK water industry experience and knowledge of standards and practices.
• Desirable: experience with SQL Server, scripting, industrial networking, virtualisation or OT cybersecurity.
• Desirable: AVEVA certifications or demonstrable AVEVA expertise.
• Desirable: professional registration or membership of a relevant engineering institution.

Responsibilities

• We act as a technical specialist for AVEVA System Platform, providing expertise throughout the full project lifecycle.
• We design, develop and implement AVEVA System Platform and ArchestrA-based SCADA solutions for major water sector automation projects.
• We develop and maintain robust object templates, graphics, alarms, security models, historians, and application server architectures.
• We integrate AVEVA solutions with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, databases and industrial communication networks.
• We produce high-quality functional design specifications, detailed design documentation and technical standards.
• We lead system testing, FAT, SAT, commissioning and ongoing technical support activities.
• We diagnose complex system issues and provide effective technical solutions across operational and project environments.
• We support engineering estimates, technical reviews, project planning activities and customer workshops.
• We provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers, promoting best practice and knowledge sharing across the business.
• We ensure solutions comply with customer requirements, water industry standards, cybersecurity requirements and our quality procedures.
