Job summary

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) – Birmingham: Austin Court is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to deliver high-quality AV services for meetings, conferences, and live events. You will handle setup, operation, and maintenance of AV, lighting, video conferencing, and stage production, ensuring top-tier technical support and excellent client service.

Work includes morning checks, first-line room support, and coordination with external AV providers and third-party contractors

Qualifications

Experience in AV setup for meetings, conferences and live events.
Hands-on knowledge of AV, video conferencing and lighting equipment.
Understanding of IT connectivity, networking and AV software applications.
Awareness of health and safety regulations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain AV, lighting, video conferencing, and production services across IET Birmingham: Austin Court.
Provide first-line AV support for meeting rooms and assist clients with connectivity needs.
Conduct morning operational checks to ensure AV readiness.
Assist with live events by managing audio-visual setups and coordinating with contractors.
Liaise with internal teams to coordinate filming, streaming, and connectivity requirements.
