AV Technician

(FTC 12 Months)

£26,035 - £28,318 + 37 Hour week + 37 Days Holiday + Public Sector Pension + Company Benefits

Wigan (Commutable from St Helens, Bolton, Manchester, Chorley, Bury, Rochdale)

Are you a technician with experience in sound, lighting, or AV looking for a creative and rewarding role within education, offering excellent holidays, job security and a great work - life balance?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well - respected college with outstanding facilities, where you'll support students and staff across rehearsals, live performances and studio sessions.

The organisation is known for investing in its staff and providing excellent development opportunities. They are now looking to strengthen their Performing Arts team with a proactive, hands-on technician who is passionate about theatre, music and technical production.

In this role, you'll provide technical support across music and performing arts sessions - helping with everything from lighting rigs and sound systems to studio equipment and show set ups.

This role would suit someone with a background in AV, theatre tech, or media production who enjoys hands-on work and supporting live ents in a creative educational setting.

The Role:

  • Provide technical support across lessons, rehearsals and performances
  • Operate and maintain AV, sound, lighting, and studio equipment
  • Fix term contract (12 months)

  • Confident using equipment like mixing desks, lighting rigs and DAWS
