Job description

Are you passionate about cutting-edge AV technology and delivering seamless user experiences? We are looking for an AV Technician to join our Edinburgh office on a full-time permanent basis. This position will be based on-site 5 days a week.

Join Burges Salmon during an exciting phase of growth and innovation as we invest significantly in our AV infrastructure. We're on the lookout for a skilled and motivated AV Technician to be the go-to expert for our meeting suites, ensuring every event, webinar, and hybrid conference runs flawlessly.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Be the primary AV support on site; prepping rooms, testing systems, and supporting users.
  • Delivering smooth AV experiences for internal meetings, client events, and hybrid video conferences.
  • Operate and troubleshoot AV equipment: displays, microphones, speakers, control panels, and VC systems (MS Teams, Zoom, Webex).
  • Work closely with the Front of House team to ensure the room is set up and arranged according to the client's specifications.
  • Support live and recorded events, including streaming and media management.
  • Collaborate with IT and Facilities teams on multi-site events and system rollouts.
  • Help shape AV best practices and stay ahead of emerging tech trends.
  • Ensure our spaces are ready for business each day

What we're looking for:

  • Proven AV experience ideally in a corporate or professional services setting.
  • Strong knowledge of AV hardware/software and platforms like Crestron, Extron, and digital signage.
  • Calm, proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts (between 7:00am–7:00pm) with occasional out-of-hours support and travel to other UK offices when needed.
