Job summary

JLB Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Audio Visual Installation Engineer to deliver end-to-end AV installations across client sites in the UK. You will install, configure, test, and commission integrated AV systems, and work from drawings and documentation to ensure high-quality delivery.

The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on AV experience, CTS certification, and expertise with Crestron, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, Dante and conferencing endpoints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience installing AV systems and at least 12 months configuring/commissioning equipment.
• Strong on-site technical delivery across multiple AV disciplines.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission integrated AV systems.
• Carry out pre-site staging, rack building, cable termination and structured cabling.
• Deliver first and second fix works as required.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and documentation.
• Produce and maintain project technical documentation.
• Review and advise on AV system designs and improvements.
• Plan and integrate AV systems within IP networks, ensuring IT/security compliance.
• Identify and resolve on-site technical issues.
• Liaise with manufacturers to resolve technical queries.
• Support project managers with on-site and off-site tasks.
• Provide progress updates and participate in client/contractor meetings.
• Ensure RAMS and Health & Safety standards.

Audio Visual Installation Engineer

Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience installing AV systems, including at least 12 months configuring and commissioning equipment.
• Strong on-site technical delivery across multiple AV disciplines.
• AVIXA CTS certified (or working towards CTS-I).
• Experience with Crestron DM/NVX and use of Crestron Toolbox.
• Experience with Biamp Tesira and Q-SYS platforms.
• Audinate Dante Level 1 (Level 2 desirable).
• Deployment of Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms solutions.
• Experience with Cisco video conferencing endpoints.

Key Responsibilities
