Job description

Unisys are looking for an AV Technician, with strong audio visual and video conferencing knowledge, to support our customer in London.

Responsibilities:

  • The distribution and management of AV tickets, ad-hoc AV requests and video conferencing
  • Maintain an inventory of supported rooms/suites and AV equipment therein
  • Assist in providing data for reporting purposes
  • Deal with day-to-day administrative duties and any ad-hoc duties required
  • Install, diagnose, service and maintain industry standard AV products as well as other computer-related products in meeting rooms/spaces and conference suites
  • May be directed by Help Desk, Service Desk, or script using standard methods, techniques, and tools
  • Manage tickets in client’s ServiceNow environment
  • Provides AV related technical support to customers in solving technical problems that occur during the operation of company supported products
  • Desk side support specialist with good customer service manner
  • May have project management responsibilities for smaller projects
  • Performs maintenance as required
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure AV equipment is setup and working correctly
  • Provides follow-up on problems or escalation
  • Work with local Facilities Management and 3rd party vendors where necessary to resolve issues (including escorting of OEM’s/Vendor support staff)
  • Ensures client specific Service Level Agreements are met and incident and request tickets are updated accordingly within the ticketing system
  • Support the clients high pressure new business events

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of Audio-Visual, Digital Signage & VC Systems
  • Experience of installing AV & IT hardware and software and diagnosing & resolving problems
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload with good time management
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Competent to a high level of computer literacy
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
