Job description

Our client designs and develops professional Audio-Visual System Products and their products are used to integrate video and audio into presentation systems (e.g. high-tech boardrooms, university lecture halls etc.).

AV Project Consulting Manager

They are currently looking for an AV Project Consulting Manager to work with AV Consultants, M&E Consultants and Architects, as well as the company Business Development team, high-profile end-users and Key Systems Integrators.

This is a senior engineering position, working both pre-sale and a post-sale, offering technical support to both new and existing customers, including creating system designs, training customers, presenting solutions, supporting projects and offering any technical support needed.

Main responsibilities include:

• Close contact with all AV Consultants, all relevant M&E Consultants, key End-users., maintaining and developing professional relationships, in conjunction with other BD team members.
• Proactive contact with End-users, pre- and post-sales, on identified projects.
• Support AV and MCE Consultants and assist with requests for projects / tenders.
• Provide technology and product demonstrations on-site.
• Provide training on current and new solutions.
• Assist on complex customer designs and requests from other company stakeholders.
• System commissioning, verifying that equipment is installed in accordance with specifications.
• Develop and/or maintain relationships with Vertical Market Integrators, activities being focused outside of the standard VAR/SI channel. For example: Government, Defence, Healthcare partners., proactively informing them of existing and new technologies and promote their advantages.
• Onsite troubleshooting at end-user sites with key resellers.
• Report back requests from the market to the Product Development team for product feature requests or improvements, to comply with tenders or to enhance system designs.
• Support Tradeshows, Exhibitions etc.

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to be qualified (HND or degree) in a technical engineering subject with strong technical skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive system design and commissioning experience within the professional AV (Audio Visual) industry, possibly as a Technical Account Manager or System Design Engineer.

You will also need strong training skills and experience/abilities to conduct technical training and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with outstanding presentation skills to address small to large audiences.

This role offers the opportunity for extensive travel and occasional overnight stays for longer-distance business trips, mainly in the UK and occasionally locations overseas.
