Job description

We are seeking a proactive AV Lead Engineer to join our innovative team. As the UK market leader, we value professional engineering and commissioning expertise.

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Benefits
Responsibilities
  1. Design and install audio-visual systems tailored to client specifications.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment for optimal performance.
  3. Collaborate with clients and team members to understand and meet project requirements.
  4. Configure and maintain networked AV systems, including VoIP and CCTV.
  5. Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
  6. Provide technical support during events to ensure seamless AV operation.
  7. Document system configurations, maintenance procedures, and project progress.
Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years as a senior installation or final commissioning engineer in complex, integrated AV environments.

Required Skills
  1. Thorough understanding of core AV technologies and confidence in installing, commissioning, and demonstrating them.
  2. Proactive attitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, including bespoke systems.
  3. Ability to provide feedback to R&D to align product solutions with customer needs.
  4. Experience leading complex projects across the UK on time and within budget.
  5. Collaboration with third-party trades and support for project management with site feedback.
  6. Familiarity with BAU solutions and keeping them updated with developments.
  7. Effective communication with developers, testers, support, and customer teams to relay challenges and improvements.
  8. Coordination with internal teams for hardware, resources, and system delivery.
  9. Support venue technicians with customer training and hands-on operation.
  10. Ability to write RAMS and uphold safety and quality standards.
  11. Willingness to work hands-on within a small, dynamic team.

Ideally located within commuting distance of Sheffield.
