AV Installation Engineer - Greater Manchester (UK Travel Required)

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum + Overtime, Van, Fuel Card, Tools Allowance & Benefits

Alecto Recruitment is recruiting for a growing leader in digital signage and AV solutions, shaping interactive retail, hospitality, and corporate environments across the UK. Projects include stadium LED displays, touchscreen ordering systems, and digital menu boards. We are expanding and seek an AV Installation Engineer based in Greater Manchester and the North.

This role offers the chance to work on impactful projects, travel nationwide, and mentor other AV Engineers.

About the Role:

As an AV Installation Engineer, you will lead installation and integration projects, collaborating with Project Managers and Technical Teams to deliver quality AV solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Install and configure AV systems across various client sites, primarily in the North and UK-wide.
2. Adhere to SLAs, maintain accurate documentation of installations.
3. Provide guidance and training to Trainee AV Engineers.
4. Follow Health & Safety protocols, especially on large projects.
5. Act as a technical on-site contact, troubleshooting issues as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• Proven experience in AV engineering roles.
• Hands-on installation experience with screens, projectors, and AV systems in commercial settings.
• Understanding of digital signage, signal transmission (HDBaseT), AV over IP.
• Basic networking, audio, and system configuration knowledge.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and professional independence.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to commute to Stockport daily.

Desirable:

• Experience with control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron, Kramer, SY).
• Rack building and AV system programming skills.
• Experience conducting site surveys and creating system specifications.
• SC Clearance (highly desirable).

Skills & Certifications:

• Good PC and networking skills.
• CSCS/ECS card.
• Strong IT troubleshooting skills.
