About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Audio‑Visual (AV) Engineer to join our technical team in London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and proven experience designing, installing, and maintaining AV systems across a variety of environments — from meeting rooms and auditoriums to digital signage and video conferencing solutions. You will work on high‑profile projects, ensuring systems are delivered to the highest standards of performance, reliability, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, install, configure, and maintain AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, and networking components.
  • Provide on‑site and remote support for AV solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system performance.
  • Conduct site surveys and client consultations to understand requirements and provide suitable AV solutions.
  • Integrate AV hardware and software (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q‑SYS, Zoom, Microsoft Teams Rooms).
  • Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and third‑party contractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Perform regular system testing, maintenance, and firmware/software updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues efficiently across multiple sites or client locations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, including schematics, user guides, and service records.
  • Stay current with emerging AV technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
Essential
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in AV engineering, installation, or support roles.
  • Proficiency with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX).
  • Experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Cisco Webex, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of signal flow, audio DSPs, video matrixing, and AV over IP.
  • Strong problem‑solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (for on‑site work when required).
Desirable
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CTS/CTS‑I/CTS‑D, Crestron DMC‑E, Extron XTP, Dante Certification).
  • Experience working in corporate, education, broadcast, or event AV environments.
  • Working knowledge of networking (VLANs, PoE, IP addressing).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, D‑Tools, or similar design/documentation tools.
